This Privacy Policy explains how CensorCam (“we”, “our”, or “us”) handles information when you use our mobile application. CensorCam is built with privacy as a core principle.

1. Information We Collect

CensorCam does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data, photos, or images to external servers.

The app only accesses the following features on your device:

• Camera
  Used only when you choose to take a photo within the app. Camera access is optional—you may also select images from your gallery.

• Gallery / Storage
  Used to read images you select and to save processed images back to your device.

All access is strictly limited to the app’s core functionality.

2. How Your Information Is Used

All image processing happens entirely on your device.

• Face Detection
  Performed locally using on-device machine learning (Google ML Kit).

• Image Processing
  Blurring, masking, and watermarking occur fully on your device.

• Storage
  Processed images are saved only to your device’s gallery, and only if you choose to save them.

At no point are your images uploaded, transmitted, or shared with any server, cloud service, or third party.

3. Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, or transmit any user data to third parties.
Since all processing occurs locally on your device, there is no data to share.

4. App Permissions

CensorCam may request the following permissions:

• Camera Permission
  Used only when you choose to take a photo within the app. You can use the app without granting this permission by selecting images from your gallery.

• Storage / Media Permissions
  Used to read selected images and save processed images:

  • Android 13 and above: READ_MEDIA_IMAGES

  • Older Android versions: READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE and WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE

All permissions are used solely for app functionality and never for data collection, tracking, or analytics.

5. Third-Party Services

CensorCam uses the following third-party services:

• Google ML Kit
  Used for on-device face detection. No images or data are sent to Google—processing remains entirely local.

• Google Mobile Ads (AdMob)
  The AdMob SDK is included but currently not active.
  If ads are enabled in the future, they will be served by Google AdMob and governed by Google’s privacy policies.

6. Data Security

Because all processing happens on your device and no data is transmitted or stored externally:

• We do not have access to your photos

• Your images never leave your device

• There is no risk of server-side data breaches related to CensorCam

7. Children’s Privacy

CensorCam does not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13. Since the app does not collect any personal data, this policy generally does not apply. However, we recommend parental supervision when children use apps that access a camera or photo gallery.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted within the app, and the “Last Updated” date will be revised accordingly.

10. Your Rights
