Cenarrusa Award
The Cenarrusa Award is an annual award that recognizes and honors an individual or institution who exemplifies Pete Cenarrusa’s numerous contributions to public service through notable achievements in government or nongovernmental organizations, and/or the advancement of agricultural and rangeland innovation, and/or of Basque culture and expression.
Honorees may be from anywhere in the United States or abroad. They are selected by the Cenarrusa Foundation’s Board of Directors from nominations submitted by the public. Nominations are open from October 1 through November 15 of each year. The award will be given on December 16 – Pete’s birthday.
The award consists of a unique symbol of Pete’s attributes and a one-thousand-dollar stipend to the recipient.
