Lizzy was promoted to glory on October 9, 2026, after courageously battling ALS for several years. Through every stage of her illness, she remained a beacon of joy—always smiling, always uplifting, always choosing gratitude. Her positivity touched everyone she encountered.

Her dedication to her faith and to the gospel was unwavering. Lizzy loved being in fellowship with her church family and rarely missed a service or gathering. Even after she became sick, she was adamant about joining services virtually or through prayer lines, staying connected to worship in every way she could. She never let her sickness define her, and she never equated her earthly ailments with God’s love. Though she had moments of sadness about her limitations, her overwhelming response was always one of joy, smiles, and the occasional joke whenever she could offer one.

In the days when she had the strength, Lizzy poured her heart into cooking. She loved preparing incredible Indian meals and welcomed anyone willing to partake. Feeding others was one of her love languages, and her kitchen was often filled with warmth, laughter, and the aroma of spices she mastered so well.

Lizzy also had an adventurous spirit. She loved to travel and especially enjoyed cruises, embracing every opportunity to explore new places. Even while battling ALS, she never hesitated to travel—her enthusiasm for seeing the world never dimmed.

Her greatest joy, however, was her grandchildren. They were her heart, her pride, and her delight. She cherished every moment she could spend with them, pouring love, encouragement, and affection into their lives.

A devoted member of Bethel Pentecostal Church in Chicago, Lizzy’s worship was unmistakable. You could often find her singing at conferences across the country, lifting her voice in praise with a smile that lit up every room.

Her kindness, her joy, her unwavering faith, and her radiant smile will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
