• After attaining a National Diploma in Information Technology at the University of South Africa (UNISA), Masego started her radio career at Unisa Radio. After a 3- year stint at Unisa Radio, she was recruited in by Kaya FM’s radio veteran, Neil Johnson. She started at Kaya as a radio programming intern where she worked on the stations breakfast show “180 with Bob” hosted by the late Radio legend, Bob Mabena & Kuli Roberts. She has since gone on to produce numerous shows across the station for both music and talk shows. This has significantly contributed to her vast knowledge and understanding of radio as well as curating specialised content for different target audiences. 

• Before joining 5FM on May 2022, Masego was a producer for Kaya FM’s drive time show, Kaya Drive with Sizwe. The show caters a fun, thought provoking show that offers upbeat music, arts and culture, and current affairs. 

Previously produced variety of radio shows: 

Home with Mapaseka Mokwele - For years, Masego worked as the Content & Executive Producer behind the Multi Award Winning prime time talk show, "Home with Mapaseka Mokwele” which used to air between 19H00 to 20H00 from Monday to Thursday on Kaya FM. The show was about issues affecting self, the home and the family. This was done by discussing the encompassing themes around wellness from a mental, sexual, physical, intellectual and spiritual perceptive. Celebrating the success stories of women in various disciplinary fields who are doing great things; previous guests have included Mamokgethi Phakeng (Vice Chancellor of the University of Cape Town) and Charlotte Mokoena (Executive Vice-President for Human Resources and Corporate Affairs at Sasol). The show entitled “Home with Mapaseka” won an MTN Radio Award for Best Night-Time Show in 2013 and was also nominated in 2014 in the same category. 

Sidebar with Dr Sindi - She then moved to work as the brains behind Kaya FM’s talk show “Sidebar with the late Dr Sindi Van Zyl”. 

The Law Report with Michael Motsoeneng-Bill - The Law Report with Michael Motsoeneng-Bill – the show that translates complex legal arguments and judicial matters into a comprehensible public conversation, helping listeners to resolve and seek correct assistance with their civil cases. 

Elite nites with Kgomotso Meso -  Multi-Award nominated music show, Elite Nites with Kgomotso Meso - a music show that was mainly hip-hop, RnB, kwaito and house music. Elite Nites team made history on the 17th of August 2018 when Kaya FM, in partnership with L’Oréal Paris, aired its Elite Fridays Show live from the Blue Train, which was a first for radio broadcasting in South Africa 

The B-Side with Bridget Masinga - The B-Side is also known as Kaya FM’s flagship world-travel show having broadcasted in Senegal, New York as well as Namibia amongst other countries. And more...
