Cedoryx Labs provides the Cedoryx Budget Planner Android application. This Privacy Policy explains how the application accesses, processes, stores, and protects information.
Financial information stored on your device
Cedoryx Budget Planner allows users to enter financial information such as transactions, budgets, accounts, bills, debts, savings goals, assets, liabilities, categories, payment methods, notes, and application preferences.
This information is stored locally within the application’s private storage on the user’s Android device. Cedoryx Labs does not operate a server that receives or stores this financial information.
The application uses this locally stored information only to provide budgeting, reporting, statistics, backup, export, and other personal-finance features requested by the user.
Accounts and personal identification
Cedoryx Budget Planner does not require users to create an account or provide their name, email address, phone number, or other identification to Cedoryx Labs.
The application does not contain advertising, third-party analytics, or behavioral tracking tools.
Voice entry and microphone access
Voice entry is optional. When the user starts voice entry, the application requests access to the device’s microphone so spoken words can be converted into text.
Speech recognition is performed by the Android speech-recognition service selected or installed on the user’s device. Depending on the device, language pack, settings, and speech-service provider, recognition may occur offline or may require the speech-service provider to process audio online.
Cedoryx Labs does not receive or store microphone recordings. The application receives the resulting transcript and allows the user to review or edit it before saving a financial entry.
Users can use the application manually without granting microphone permission.
Biometric and device security
Cedoryx Budget Planner can optionally use Android’s biometric or device-credential system to protect access to the application.
Fingerprint data, facial data, biometric templates, and device PINs are handled entirely by the Android operating system. Cedoryx Budget Planner and Cedoryx Labs do not receive, access, or store this security information.
Users may also enable screenshot blocking to help prevent financial information from appearing in screenshots or on unsecured displays.
Google Play purchases
Cedoryx Budget Planner offers an optional Pro Lifetime purchase through Google Play Billing.
Google Play processes the payment and associated purchase information according to Google’s own privacy policies and terms. Cedoryx Labs does not receive or store users’ complete payment-card or banking details.
The application receives only the purchase status required to unlock or restore Pro features. A local entitlement status may be stored on the device so that purchased features remain accessible.
Data sharing
Cedoryx Labs does not sell, rent, trade, or share users’ financial records with advertisers, data brokers, or marketing companies.
Information may be processed by external system services only when the user chooses to use those services. These services include:
• The selected Android speech-recognition provider when voice entry is used.
• Google Play when a purchase or purchase restoration is performed.
The handling of information by those services is governed by the privacy policy and settings of the relevant provider.
Exports, backups, and restored files
Users can create CSV exports and JSON backup files. These files are saved to a location selected or controlled by the user.
Exported files may contain financial information in a readable and unencrypted format. Users are responsible for protecting exported files and deciding where they are stored, copied, or shared.
Cedoryx Labs does not automatically upload or receive exported files. When restoring a backup, the application accesses only the file specifically selected by the user.
Data security
Financial information is stored within the application’s private local storage and is protected by Android’s application-sandbox and device-security features.
Optional application locking and screenshot blocking provide additional protection. However, no storage or security system can guarantee absolute protection, particularly if a device is rooted, compromised, shared without protection, or if exported files are stored insecurely.
Data retention and deletion
Financial information remains on the device until the user:
• Deletes individual records.
• Uses the application’s erase-data function.
• Clears the application’s storage through Android settings.
• Uninstalls the application.
Cedoryx Labs cannot remotely retrieve or delete locally stored financial information because Cedoryx Labs does not receive or maintain a copy of it.
Exported backup or CSV files remain wherever the user saved them until the user manually deletes them.
Google may retain purchase records according to Google Play’s own legal and retention requirements.
Children’s privacy
Cedoryx Budget Planner is intended for general personal-finance use by adults and is not directed toward children under 13 years of age.
Cedoryx Labs does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
Cedoryx Labs may update this Privacy Policy when application features, legal requirements, or data-handling practices change.
The updated policy will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
