Q: Is this camp tax-deductible?

A: No.  As we are not regular daycare providers, we do not have a tax ID number to give you.

Q: Since this camp is led by teachers, is it like school?

A: Yes and no.  It's like all of the fun parts of school.  We do structured games, relay races, art projects, recess, engineering contests, science, water gun fights, and more.  We will not be teaching campers reading, writing, or math.  There will not be any homework (other than remembering to bring your squirt gun a couple of times).

Q: What should campers bring each day?

A: A water bottle, sunscreen (we also recommend applying before drop off in the morning), lunch (except on Friday), a snack (optional), and a lot of energy.  We provide pizza for all of the campers on Friday.  However, if your child has any dietary restrictions that do not allow him/her to eat pizza, you will need to send a lunch on Friday as well.

Q: What is the Junior Counselors Program?

A: For our campers going into 5th, 6th, or 7th grades, we offer the option of taking on a little bit more responsibility.  They still get to participate in any/all of the activities and hang out with their friends, but we occasionally ask them to take out garbage, walk a younger camper back to the classroom to get water, tie a shoe, etc.  At the end of the week, we write them a letter of recommendation, which they can use on future job applications.

Q. Is this camp affiliated with Beaverton School District?

A. No. Although we are all BSD teachers, this is a summer camp that is not affiliated with BSD.

Q: What is the refund policy?

A: We understand that plans change.  We offer a 100% refund if you cancel BEFORE April 1st.  Any cancellations made on/after that date will be offered a credit for a future camp.
