4/29 @ 10:00 am - Only 3 players remain! Anyone on the Bounty Board will be eliminated in a week.
General Rules & Guidelines
Every player becomes something of a bounty hunter. They are assigned a target and using a water balloon/super soaker (or something similar), they must eliminate their mark. If you fail to assassinate your target within 1 cycle of the game (2 weeks), you are put on the "Bounty Board" where everyone can see your name and photo and try to eliminate you. You remain on the Bounty Board until you succeed in assassinating your mark. To avoid being knocked out, you can wear a safety item that protects you from attack (most of the time). You can also be protected from assassins by staying in safe zones like school, work, or church. Play continues until there's only one person left standing, at which point they are declared the winner and receive all the money in the pot.
Questions:
Questions that concern everyone can be asked in the Teams group chat. Any questions specific to you or your target can be directed to Aaron Sitanggang on Teams.
Entry:
$10 must be sent in by Sunday, February 4.
Please give your name in the transaction description.
A headshot of yourself must be sent to Aaron Sitanggang on Teams.
To officially be entered, you must have your money in before the end of the day on Sunday, February 4. If you have not sent in your money in, you will not be allowed to participate. No exceptions.
You must also get the Life360 app and have it enabled so that people can see your phone’s location at all times. You must have your phone with you at all times. If you become aware of anyone (who hasn’t paid to hide their location, see payments below) without their location up, report them to Aaron Sitanggang on Teams and the referees will review the situation. If you are found to not have your location on when you should, you are at risk of immediate disqualification. It is the responsibility of players to audit this, we will not be checking constantly. We will release the Life360 code to join the senior assassin group Friday the 2nd.
Assassinations:
If you hit your target with water so that their clothes, body, or anything they are wearing gets wet, they are assassinated.
To confirm this, you must have gathered clear, identifiable video evidence for us to review and post on the website. We recommend that you make your kills during the day to make your evidence as solid as possible.
If your video evidence is not good enough, your kill can still be valid as long as the person who was assassinated can confirm their death to the referee(s). However, we still recommend that you at least submit a video (preferably just one where you shoot the target again, but a reenactment is fine too).
This video evidence must be sent to Aaron Sitanggang on Teams right away.
Please be honest and don’t argue that you weren’t killed if you know you are. Be a good sport and accept defeat.
Any disputes about an assassination should be brought to the referee(s). Referees have the final say on all decisions.
You may get other people to help with your assassination. These other people cannot make any physical contact with your target (taking guns, holding, tackling, removing safety items, etc.) The shots must be fired by the person assigned to the target.
Safety and Purges:
If a player is wearing a safety item, then they are considered to be protected from assassination. This even applies if the player is on the Bounty Board.
The safety items include: tiaras, crowns, and sombreros.
You must be wearing one on your head to be protected.
You may not remove a safety item from another person.
Your safety item must be unarguably and explicitly a tiara, crown, or sombrero. For example, sun hats or bucket hats do not count.
However, Thursdays are considered a “Purge Day”, on which you are not protected by the safety items. For the full 24 hours that Thursday lasts, you can be assassinated with or without your safety item.
There are also several locations that are considered safe. Even on Purge Day, you may not assassinate or even attempt to assassinate anyone from the following places:
Inside any school
CEC parking lot
Any place a CEC event is being held
Any sports/club events (including practices)
Inside your target’s place of work
Any religious building or religious event
All DCSD property, including the DCSD Legacy Campus (this means parking lots for these DCSD schools/campuses are off limits too)
If we get a report from any CEC faculty member about students causing problems with Senior Assassin related items, you will be eligible for immediate disqualification. Keep water guns and safety items in your backpack or car while on CEC property.
Cars must be off for the kill to count. You cannot be driving and make a kill or be killed.
No parking lots are safe besides CEC’s parking lot.
You may NOT break into your targets home. You can shoot a target inside their homes if and only if a permanent resident of the home invites you inside. However, you can shoot through an open door or window if they are already open.
The game will be paused and no assassinations can be made after 11:59 pm on the Sunday which ends a cycle. New targets will be assigned and the Bounty Board updated at 10:00 am the following Monday.
Bounty Board:
After every 2-week period, those who did not eliminate someone will be placed upon the Bounty Board. Once you are on the Bounty Board, anyone can target you.
Assassinating someone on the Bounty Board also fulfills your requirement to eliminate a player. You can still hunt your original target or any other player on the Bounty Board.
Once you eliminate someone, you will be removed from the Bounty Board.
If your original target is on the Bounty Board and is eliminated by someone else, you will be assigned your target’s target. We will attempt to relay this information within 24 hours.
Anyone on the Bounty Board who has been there for a full cycle (2 weeks) is automatically eliminated.
To survive, you may pay to be removed off the Bounty Board, but you will be placed back on the Bounty Board in the following cycle (Unless you get a kill).
Additionally, you may revive preemptively, before the cycle ends, and you will join the next cycle as a normal player.
Special Events:
During some weeks, a special event may begin. The special event will alter the rules of the game and/or add a requirement that will need to be followed in order to stay in the game.
Any details will be posted on the website and in the Teams chat.
Purchases:
To increase the value of the pot and the variety of the game, purchases can be made to aid in your survival. All purchases will be made public.
No purchases can be made after 6 weeks or 3 cycles of the game.
Please send your purchases through Venmo.
The transaction description must include your name and what you are buying.
You can buy back into the game if you are eliminated. Your first revival costs $20. Every subsequent revival is twice the previous price. Revives bring you back into the game for the next cycle, so if shot, you will stay dead until the current two weeks is up.
At a maximum, you can revive 3 times ($20 for the first cycle, $40 for the second, and $80 for the third).
You can randomly switch your target for $5.
This can only be bought within 1 week of the start of a cycle.
You can see who is targeting you for $15.
You can pay to be taken off the bounty board for $10.
You can pay to hide your location through Life360 at a price of $5/hr. We can see exactly how long you are off of Life360 for, and you are at risk of immediate disqualification if you keep your location off for too long. Note: Your time starts as soon as the purchase goes through on Venmo. We recommend that you get Venmo, otherwise your time will only start once you give us cash in-person.
Criminal Activity:
Any illegal or criminal activity done in the name of the game will earn you an automatic disqualification from the game, no exceptions. This is your ONLY warning.
Trespassing:
If somebody at your target’s home/workplace/church tells you to leave, LEAVE. If you don’t leave, it could lead to you being eliminated.
If any adult tells you to leave any time, do so IMMEDIATELY. This means get completely off their property.
Being a general nuisance in public for the sake of the game may lead to your disqualification at the discretion of the referee(s). Even though public places are fair game, you may not cause a disturbance whose blame would be placed on the game. We will not take any responsibility for players’ actions.
Don’t do anything dumb. Remember this is just a game.
Weapons:
Water guns must be clearly identifiable as water guns, for example, bright colors or transparent materials should be used. Additionally, it should be clear that you have a water gun regardless of how concealed it is. Using a water gun that resembles a real firearm will result in your disqualification. If you’re unsure if your gun will work for the game, ask the referee(s).
Other equipment like water balloons must follow the above guidelines.
Gel blasters are not allowed.
You can use water bottles to assassinate your target.
Disclaimer:
By paying to be in the game and having your name officially listed as a player, you are agreeing to play by the rules listed on this website. Going against any of the rules could, and probably will, lead to disqualification from the game.
