My research focuses on the numerical approximation of time-dependent differential equations. My research interests include:
Structure-preserving (or geometric) spatial approximation and numerical time integration.
Model order reduction of large-scale dynamical systems; reduced basis methods for Hamiltonian systems and Poisson flows; nonlinear model order reduction and adaptive low-rank approximation of high-dimensional problems.
Data-driven numerical methods for the state and parameter estimation in inverse time-dependent problems.
Spectral discretizations and efficient solvers for fluid and kinetic plasma models.
Numerical methods for transport phenomena based on finite element exterior calculus and discrete differential forms.
My work involves applications in plasma physics, fluid dynamics, electromagnetism and mechanics.
