Talks and conferences

Below some talks I have given that are available to watch online.

An Agent-Based Model to explore the Relationship between Archaeological Assemblages, Past Social Networks and Cultural Dynamics

I gave this talk in 2021 at the 86th Annual Meeting of the Society for American Archaeology. I discussed the ArchMatNet model we have built to test the relationship between ancient social networks and networks built from archaeological assemblages.

Strategic Responses in Language Use and Ethnolinguistic Reasoning to Changing Socio-Ecologies: Insights from the Yucatec Maya

I gave this talk in 2020 at the University of Liverpool Evolutionary Anthropology Seminar Series and a similar one in 2021 at the SOAS Linguistics Seminar on some of the research I have been doing in the Yucatán Peninsula since 2019.

Domain-specific Drivers of Cultural Diversity among Central African Hunter-Gatherers

I presented this poster at the 2022 Royal Society meeting "The emergence of collective knowledge and cumulative culture in animals, humans and machines" held in London. You can view the full poster here.
