¡NOS MOLA EL INGLÉS!
Desde hace muchos años, como sabéis, nuestro cole forma parte de un proyecto bicultural en el que los alumnos tienen la oportunidad de hablar y aprender de un nativo americano.
Gracias a ello, mejoramos nuestro inglés y conocemos parte de la cultura norteamericana. A través de las siguientes entradas podréis ver un poquito de todo lo que trabajamos.

happy halloween!
El pasado 31 de octubre celebramos Halloween en nuestro colegio.
Durante la semana trabajamos el tema de diferentes maneras y una de ellas fue realizando una de las costumbres más famosas de EEUU, decorar una calabaza. Primero, cada uno diseñó una y después votamos para decidir un ganador. Vaciamos la calabaza y probamos sus pipas. Finalmente, colocamos una vela dentro.
¡Fue una experiencia muy divertida!
Last October 31st we celebrated Halloween at our school.
During the week we worked on the topic in different ways and one of them was doing one of the most famous customs in the US, decorating a pumpkin. First, we each designed one and then we voted to decide a winner. We emptied the pumpkin and tried its seeds. Finally, we place a candle inside.
It was a very funny experience!

Los alumnos de 5º y 6º de primaria estuvieron trabajando el significado de la bandera de EEUU para después realizar, por grupos, su propia bandera. Finalmente, explicaron a toda la clase el significado de lo que habían dibujado.
The 5th and 6th grade students were working on the meaning of the US flag and then, in groups, they made their own flag. Finally, they explained to the whole class the meaning of what they had drawn.
SESAME STREET
Si algo recordamos con cariño son los programas infantiles, y los alumnos y alumnas de 1º de EPO están conociendo a algunos de los personajes mas famosos en todo el mundo.

Esta semana hemos estado celebrando el día del libro y el pasado miércoles disfrutamos de las audiciones de todas las clases del colegio donde también participamos leyendo un poco de la vida y arte de Andy Warhol.
This week we have been celebrating the book's day and the last Wednesday we enjoyed with the auditions in the school. We also participated reading about the life and art of Andy Warhol.

Teachers for one day
En las extraescolares de inglés han aparecido algunos nuevos profes. Han tenido que resolver preguntas y explicar todo en inglés.
Al final han recibido un gran agradecimiento de sus estudiantes.
In English Extraescolar had appeared new teachers. They had to answer questions and to explain everything in English.
Finally, they had recieved a big THANK YOU from their students.

The last day beforme holiday we were celebrating easter with a karaoke. We went all-out!

Durante esta semana y la pasada tres pequeños conejos han ido repartiendo huevos que nuestros alumnos han ido decorando. A través de esta actividad hemos conocido la historia de esta tradición.
During this week and last, three little bunnies had spreading eggs and our students had decorated it. Through this activity we had learned the story and the tradition.

¿Sabéis que ya podemos leer en inglés? En las clases de extraescolares de inglés nos hemos divertido jugando a un juego de lectura comprensiva. ¡Nos lo pasamos bomba!
We can read in english, do you know this? In extraescolar english classes we had fun playing a comprehensive reading game. It was very fun!

Para celebrar St. Patrick's Day, los alumnos de 5º han jugado a un Escape Room. El más viejo de los duendes, Richard, ha perdido su trébol de la suerte. Nuestra misión era la de encontrarlo y devolvérselo. ¿Lo habrán conseguido?
To celebrate St. Patrick's Day, the students of 5th of Primary had played an Escape Room. The oldest Leprechaun, Richard, had lost his lucky shamrock. Our mision was to find it and return the shamrock to Richard. Will they have success?

Este 17 de marzo celebramos la fiesta Irlandesa de St. Patrick's. ¡No dejéis de buscar al Leprechaun! Al final del arcoiris encontraréis el caldero lleno de monedas de oro.
This 17th of March we celebrate St. Patrick's day, the Ireland party. Don't stop looking for the Leprechaun! At the end of the rainbow you'll find a pot full of gold coins.

Los alumnos de 4º, 5º y 6º estamos viajando alrededor de los diferentes estados de EEUU, y gracias a ello estamos conociendo en profundidad un poco más sobre la cultura y costumbres americanas.
The students of 4th, 5th and 6th of Primary are travelling around the diferents states of USA, thanks to that we are learning more about American culture and American traditions.

El pasado 15 de marzo nos visitaron del programa CBC para hacer con los alumnos de 3º Infantil, 2º E.P. y 5º E.P. algunas actividades en inglés. Pudimos disfrutar con el director de la Universidad de Saint Louise (Misuri - EEUU) haciendo las actividades y jugando.
The last March 15th Program CBC visited us to do some English activities with 3th of Infantil, 2nd and 5th of primary. We could enjoy with the University St. Louise directo (Misuri - USA) doing activities and playing games.
Thanksgiving day
Originalmente, Thanksgiving day fue un día donde los estadounidenses mostraban su agradecimiento por la cosecha y el año. Nosotros, haciendo honor al origen hemos dado las gracias por todo lo bueno que tenemos. ¡Mamás y papás! Aparecéis en muchas de las plumas de nuestro pavo.
Originally, Thanksgiving day was a day where americans gave thanks for the crops and for the year. We are thankfull for all the good things that we have.
