Cebuano Cravings was born from a deeply personal journey. Maria, the founder, was diagnosed with neuromyelitis Optica (NMO), a rare autoimmune disorder that resulted in her loss of sight. Faced with this life-changing challenge, Maria’s partner of nine years, Kath, sought an activity that would support Maria’s mental well-being. In 2023, they set out on a unique mission: to dine at 100 different restaurants together, sharing their food adventures online. What started as daily posts on Maria’s personal profile soon grew into something bigger. Realizing the joy and interest their food experiences sparked among friends and family, Maria created a dedicated page—Cebu Cravings—to document their journey. As they continued, their content began to resonate with a broader audience, and what started as a simple project evolved into something more. By 2024, Maria renamed the page to Cebuano Cravings and had expanded beyond food, now offering insights into travel, skincare, and lifestyle.
