The original translation is very good. Minor changes with this one. Changes:
"pensou" does mean to think about but in this context "wonder" in the sense of indirect or passing thought is more appropriate.
"lance" is close to "what we have from the other translation, but, is missing the aspect of brevity, luck, and movement if you will. "Our Chance [at romance] is more appropriate.
"Edredom" does mean erierdown but the term is kind of antiquated. Comforter/quilt is more modern.
" E a, c topa?" does mean so do you accept. However, given the context and tone, the meaning is closer to "what do you think?" which often has the same connotation as do you accept?
