Conceptual Engineering in Epistemology

In this workshop, we will discuss topics like the following:

  • Proposals to engineer central concepts in epistemology, e.g., knowledge, understanding, evidence, justification, rationality, epistemic/epistemology;

  • Conceptual engineering as a method in epistemology;

  • Engineering concepts from the epistemic perspective; epistemic progress by conceptual engineering; epistemic goods, goals and values pertaining to concepts; and

  • Other fruitful connections between conceptual engineering and epistemology.
