Hand on Educational Activities from NSF SUCCEED Work
Activities for Hands on Engineering
SUCCEED was an NSF funded Educational Coalition charged to improve engineering education. There were 4 other such coalitions. SUCCEED was a partnership with NC State, University of Florida, GA Tech, Va Tech, Florida State, NC A&T. Dr. Hoit lead an effort to create a Freshman introduction to engineering that was composed of hands on activities in order to introduce Freshman and HS students to the different types of engineering as well as the engineering solution process. These links provide the hands on experiments used at UF as part of that program. The Program ended in 2000.
