CDSupport

An informal support network for those dealing with difficult data

CDSupport aims to put scholars who deal with difficult data in touch with each other.

Reading data that you find abhorrent can be challenging. It takes a huge amount of emotional labour to deal with some of the data that critical discourse scholars (and those dealing in similar areas) face every day. This can be incredibly difficult when you are working alone and have not managed to find an effective support network. This is where CDSupport comes in.

The aim of CDSupport is to connect scholars who deal with difficult data in touch with someone who deals with similar difficult data, in order to encourage peer-support. Please note, CDSupport is not meant to be a full replacement for all mental health services, but is meant to supplement support services.

At present, CDSupport receives no funding and is run (charitably) by Frazer Heritage (Birmingham City University). To join, please follow the 'Sign up' link.
