An end-of season Festival will bring together all teams for a weekend celebration of fun and games
There will be snack bar open at each rink, details of their offerings for this weekend are listed below within the Arena details.
U7 and U8 will both play Half-ice Format in the Festival with players changing from the benches and will use Small nets. Scores will be recorded for U7/U8 games to ensure best matchup for final game (except for U7 Tier 4 where those teams play a 3 game round robin). U7s get 3 games (2 Saturday and 1 Sunday). U8s get 4 games.
U9 will be a competitive format however all teams will get 4 or 5 games. 3 or 4 game preliminary games followed by playoffs, exact format will be different by "tier" based on number of comparable teams.
All teams should submit their gamesheets immediately following their games as a back-up to the Timekeeper/GameManager submitting them, this will ensure timely AND accurate posting of scores to determine standings within each Tier/Pool.
Please have players ready 15 minutes ahead of posted game-time as games may start a few minutes early.
Note: no time-outs in any games
3 player shoot-out (both teams shoot at same time)
sudden death shootout (no player may shoot a 2nd time until one team has used all their players)
The bottom of the Tiering tabs for the Festival schedule has the standings that will be updated as scores are sent in (so it is very important to send scores in quickly)

For all CDS Rinks:
Depending on weather and other activities happening at the same time, parking may require some planning and patience (car pooling might be a good option especially if bringing grandparents along)
During peak times, the parking lots will likely be unable to accommodate everyone (Festival users and general public.) Safety is the primary concern with so many young children and families using these facilities so please follow these guidelines:
Do NOT under any circumstances park outside of designated parking spots or in fire lanes or in accessible parking spots without a permit. Safety will be compromised and enforcement is very strict.
Make arrangements for car-pooling and drop-offs whenever possible.
North Toronto Arena – Always obey the stop sign at the parking lot entrance. This is a busy crossing for pedestrians/cyclists using the trail system to/from Eglinton Park. Obey the directions of any parking lot attendants and/or signs at the entrance off Edith Avenue. Use the plentiful underground parking (paid) available at the North Toronto Community Centre just 75m south of the Arena. Entrance is off Eglinton Avenue.
Schedule is in a googlesheet below. Both teams should send in game scores to CDSCoordinator@gmail.com to ensure timely updating of scores online. If you notice an error in a score please email gamesheet with what you believe the correct score to be along with Game # (left most column in schedule).
There are several Tabs in the sheet to make it easier to find your division/tier.
A few teams have been given either a Bonus game (to use up empty ice)or there is a note beside some teams saying a particular game does NOT count towards the standings (this is to make the schedule work)
