CDA2 Terms of Service

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By downloading, installing, or using CDA2 ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE
CDA2 is a camera application that:
- Captures photos and videos with cryptographic verification
- Adds watermarks to photos
- Verifies photo authenticity using SHA-256 hashing
- Stores verification data in the cloud (hashes only, not actual media)
- Displays advertisements to support the free version
3. USER OBLIGATIONS
You agree to:
- Use the App legally and responsibly
- Not attempt to bypass security features
- Not use the App for illegal activities
- Not falsely claim ownership of others' photos
- Provide accurate information when creating an account
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
4. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
- The App and its features are owned by the developer
- Your photos and videos remain your property
- You grant us permission to store hashes of your media for verification
- You retain all rights to your content
5. PRIVACY
Your privacy is protected as described in our Privacy Policy. Key points:
- Photos/videos stay on your device
- Only hashes are uploaded for verification
- We don't share your personal data

6. ACCEPTABLE USE
You may NOT:
- Use the App to violate any laws
- Upload illegal or harmful content
- Attempt to hack or reverse-engineer the App
- Use the App to harass or harm others
- Impersonate others or provide false information
- Use automated systems to access the App
7. SERVICE AVAILABILITY
- The App is provided "as is" without warranties
- We don't guarantee uninterrupted service
- Cloud features require internet connection
- We may update or modify features at any time
- Advertisements may be displayed and updated periodically
8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for data loss
- We are not liable for indirect damages
- Our total liability is limited to $100 USD or the amount you paid for the App (whichever is less)
- You use the App at your own risk
9. ACCOUNT TERMINATION
We may terminate accounts that:
- Violate these terms
- Engage in illegal activities
- Abuse the service
- Remain inactive for extended periods
10. CHANGES TO TERMS
We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes means acceptance. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or via email.
11. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by applicable local laws where you reside.

- Your content doesn't violate others' rights
- Your content is legal in your jurisdiction
15. INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify us from any claims arising from your use of the App.
16. ADVERTISEMENTS
The App displays third-party advertisements provided by Google AdMob.
- Ads help support the free version of the App
- Ad content is controlled by AdMob, not by us
- We are not responsible for the content of third-party ads
- You may see personalized ads based on your interests
- You can opt out of personalized ads in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads)
- Ad frequency and placement may change over time
17. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and CDA2 regarding your use of the App.
