For over 30 years, CCWS has been offering trusted individual diagnostic and therapeutic services for children who stutter. The achievement of CCWS clinic and community outreach has been due to our remarkable passionate staff and board of directors as wll as our effective therapeutic philosophy (demand and approach model) designed by Glyndon and Jeanna Riley. This philosophy combines the best techniques from multidimensional models and applies them to individual needs of the client. The result is a nurturing, joyful environment focusing on constant program optimization to deliver greater opportunities for communication success.
Clinic Information
The CCWS was founded in 1995 by Drs.Glyndon Riley and Jeanna Riley. Together,they provided a combined 60 years ofstuttering research, teaching and clinicalexperience. The most widely held work bythe Riley’s include the creation of theStuttering Severity Instrument,used as the gold standard in fluency assessment across the country.
Riley research also includes oral motorassessment and stuttering predictionmeasurements that widely influence theassessment and treatment of stutteringtoday.
The Center continues to grow, utilizing thelatest clinical research to drive practice,while building strong relationships withstudents, faculty and community leadersthroughout the United States.
Speech-language pathologists throughoutthe country benefit from the Center'seducational conferences, workshops.Using the latest research findingsavailable.
