Associate Professor. Noguchi earned his Ph. D. from the University of Mississippi. He teaches courses in social psychology, personality psychology, research methodology, and statistics. His research focuses on psychological well-being, cultural differences in values and social cognition, and individual differences in coping strategies.
JAMION BURNEY
Hello! My name is Jamion and thank you for stopping by. As a graduate scholar dedicated to human behavior and interaction, I am pursuing a PhD in Psychology with a specialization in Cognitive Social Psychology. My research centers on enhancing individual well-being through a holistic approach that prioritizes identity development. I am honored to be a member of the Culture, Values, and Well-Being Laboratory, under the mentorship of Dr. Kenji Noguchi and collaborating with fellow researchers who share a commitment to creating positive societal impact.
Through my research, I seek to establish strong connections with individuals to better understand their needs, allowing for the design of tailored interventions that are both impactful and resonant. Ultimately, my passion for psychology informs my dedication to advancing the well-being of individuals and communities. I aspire to utilize my skills and knowledge to facilitate positive change and promote engagement in community development efforts. I am open to research collaborations. JESI PIGG
Jesi is a first-year graduate student in the Experimental Psychology Doctorate program. She has been involved in the Culture, Values, and Well-Being lab since 2022. Her research interests include motivation, inner dialogue, well-being, and academic/career success.
She has collaborated on various research projects, such as cross-cultural research, existential research, gender disparities, morality, and artificial intelligence (AI).
