Foundation of the IT education (ITE) is the knowledge of basic coding and programming. The CodEx is a special interest group where students could enhance their knowledge in programming. CodEx is a short term for Code Expert. Students who will join in this group will be trained to become more knowledgeable in coding. Soft skills such as interpersonal, communication, problem-solving and leadership will also be learned by the future members of this group. More importantly, members of this special interest group will be honed until they will be ready, not only for their thesis and capstone projects but also to compete in any local, national, or international programming competitions.
Graphicos originated from the past organization of BSCS Students – Computer Society (ComSoc). This special interest group intends to develop and/or enhance the skills of its members about animation and motion graphics and visualizations. The special interest group envisioned its members to do the promotional and advertisements (whether pictures or videos) of the college.
This Special Interest Group is designed to promote interest in providing knowledge and skills on computer hardware and software troubleshooting, designing, learning, applying networking configurations and actual applications, and applying critical thinking skills to maintaining network communication and security. It specializes in computer hardware and software, PC troubleshooting, and Networking.
Robotix is a group open for all CCS Students that has a passion in developing robotics out of Arduino, Raspberry, and other MCUs. The group aims to enhance the analytical and critical thinking of students that could lead to a better understanding of programs, structures and hardware components. Robotix also aims to improve camaraderie among the students, and keep them away from unnecessary things such as social media and mobile games.
Source Code will serve as the official student publication arm of the College of Computer Studies. This special interest group will hone the students about journalism and publication. In addition, the special interest group is the one to post the latest announcements and happenings under the College of Computer Studies.
