The degree to which you serve as a leader will determine how effective you are as a leader. In The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership, John Maxwell teaches servant leadership inside his Law of Addition: “The best place for a leader isn’t always the top position. It isn’t the most prominent or powerful place. It’s the place where he or she can serve the best and add the most value to other people.”
Many of the leaders who have accomplished great things and showed noteworthy fortitude and honorable virtues are given proper recognition, while others who are as deserving go unacknowledged. Those who have made major contributions to the welfare of others should be sought after, and once discovered, they should be honored as the champions they really are.
And to give recognition to our ever-hardworking student leaders, student advisers, and School Organizations, the Supreme Student Council and Committee on Good Governance proudly presents our 1st ever Student Organization Gawad Parangal with the theme “Recognizing Dedication, Blazing the Fire of Servant Leadership” this coming February 9, 2023, 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the School Auditorium.
Let us all motivate the younger generation to make significant contributions to the growth and development of the nation by way of outstanding academic achievement, transformative social engagement, innovative leadership services, strengthening student representation, youth representation, and championing students' rights and welfare rendered to their respective institutions, local communities, and the nation as a whole.

As we celebrated World Mental Health Day last October 10, 2022, and National Mental Health Week this 2nd Week of October and as we will go through our Institution's Mental Health Break through the efforts of the CCSJDM-SSC's lobbying of the request to our Institution's Administration, may we enter our much-needed academic and mental health break with sensitivity, compassion, and love and care for our mental health and for other's.
The remarks of some of our fellow City Collegians regarding mental health, mental illness, and suicide are insensitive and should not be condoned by anyone. We must uphold mental health, strengthen our campaign for mental health, protect safe spaces and be sensitive towards our fellow students, our professors, non-teaching personnel, and the entire City Collegian community.
We the CCSJDM Supreme Student Council condemn any jokes, remarks, or acts that are insensitive towards mental health and suicide, violate safe spaces, and may trigger others' traumatic experiences. We must be catalysts of change, uphold mental health awareness and advocacy, and champion safe spaces by breaking the stigma against mental health.
With the help of the institution's administration, professionals, student affairs office, guidance, and counseling office, student organizations, and other stakeholders, together we can establish and provide our fellow students, faculty, and staff with an inclusive mental health-friendly environment even through simple yet impactful activities and mental health related advocacies promoting empathy, sensitivity, compassion, and awareness.
"This is well noted. However, asynchronous tasks shall be given so as to provide continuity with the various learning tasks required of the programs.
All teachers are requested anyway, to extend deadlines to another more week to give students ample time to comply their tasks.
Signed by Dr. Roger S. Ambida
College President"
