Health 64: Health Education Training, Skills & Practice
Mondays 6-8pm Fall 2022
Principles and practice in the planning, facilitation and evaluation of public health education and trainings. This course will address an overview of health education trainings, adult learning theories, approaches to teaching and training, conducting meetings, assembling agendas, conducting training assessments and evaluations, group dynamics, public speaking, how to plan and prepare trainings and facilitation techniques. Additionally, this course will address diversity, equity and inclusion for all training participants and highlight how effective trainers utilize a culturally humble approach in the design, implementation and evaluation of trainings.
