Get off the elevator and have a look around.

You look into the darkness to see if someone was waiting to get on the elevator but no one is there. You notice that one office door is open and the light is on.

“Hello?” you yell into the dark.

No one answers you. You step out of the elevator and walk into the dark hallway. There doesn’t seem to be anyone around. Slowly, you walk towards the open office door. When you peek inside you see the office is empty except for a desk. You hear the elevator arrive in the hallway behind you.

You spin around as all the lights come on and blind you for a moment. When you can see clearly, you realize the elevator doors are open and a woman is standing there. You recognize her as Nira from some of your training classes.

“Guess I’m not the only late one” she says.

“Looks like it.” you reply as you step back into the elevator.

You don’t wish to be any later to the meeting. Besides nothing really seemed out of place on the fifth floor; other than the lights being off. The elevator zips up to the 10th floor where Nira and you head to the meeting.

When you open the meeting room door no one is inside. You look over at Nira and she looks just as confused as you.

“Where is everyone?” she says as she glances around the room.

“I don’t know” you say, feeling a little worried as you close the door behind you. Nira pulls out her cell phone while you move towards the front of the room. You notice a scrap of paper on a chair in the first row.
