Growing up, I always had a fascination with thunderstorms and lightning, so meteorology quickly became the primary goal in the classroom. After finishing high school, I immediately began my 8-year stretch though secondary education, earning an A.S. in General Education from Grand Rapids Community College in 2014, a B.S. in Meteorology from Central Michigan University in 2018, and a M.S. in Geography from Northern Illinois University in 2020.
Aside from being a weather nerd, I was a band geek. Percussion was a wonderful part of my late childhood/early adulthood. Over the years, I got to perform with several ensembles all across the Central and Eastern United States. Through this experience, I was given the opportunity to teach high school drum line for 3 years.
After completing my Master's, I was hired by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources as an Air Quality Data Specialist, and got to spend time enjoying everything that Madison, WI had to offer.
However, as beautiful as the Midwest is, my partner and I couldn't resist moving to the Front Range. We quickly fell in love with the mountains and everything this region has to offer. Currently loving Colorado, so perhaps we'll stay here!
