***FAFSA/TASFA is now a high school graduation requirement for the state of Texas.
The Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TASFA) is a free application that determines eligibility for state financial aid in Texas. Students classified as Texas residents who are not eligible for the FAFSA are encouraged to complete the TASFA Application.
To be considered for the most financial aid, it is important to complete and submit this application with all required documentation to the financial aid office on or before March 15 (24-25 application ONLY).
Note: Eligibility for financial aid will be determined by the institution you plan to attend.

Here are a few details regarding the electronic TASFA:
Students can send the application to up to ten (10) institutions at a time.
The online application includes validation checks to ensure essential information is entered.
There are icons to provide information on common questions.
The application can be downloaded and printed.
You can access the application through the Apply Texas application portal.
The State Priority Deadline was extended to March 15, 2024, for the 2024-2025 application year by the THECB. This is only for the specified application year and will revert to January 15 for future years.
The institution determines eligibility for financial aid.
After the application is submitted, the only information that can be edited is the colleges they listed; to update other parts, you will have to contact the college(s).
