Our Mission

The mission of the Cheatham County Public Library System is to enhance the joy of reading and thirst for knowledge by providing centers for information and discovery through current, high-interest materials within a robust collection, innovative programming, accessible technology and resources, and responsive services.  The Cheatham County Libraries will serve as a door to the learning experience by cultivating personal and intellectual growth and by building strong communities.  Our libraries strive to bring people together by inspiring and supporting literacy and lifelong learning.

Our Vision

The Cheatham County Public Library System aims to serve the needs of our community by developing strong libraries that are vital community destinations for knowledge information, and discovery.  As a strong community partner, the Cheatham County Public Libraries shall be the welcoming heart of our community where all may come to learn, discover, create and connect.  We shall preserve our historic past, while enriching present lives and becoming an innovative leader in implementing a variety of strategies to bring knowledge and promote learning opportunities for people of all ages.
