Our Comprehensive Behavior Support Program offers behavioral support to individuals with behavioral challenges. We specialize in supporting individuals with severe to moderate behavior challenges using positive behavior support within a relaxing no pressure environment. We have highly trained staff and contract the skills of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who meets the individual in person, monitors, and formulates a behavior plan to assist our staff in supporting the individual.
Activity Exploration Groups seek out new activities each week as they improve their social skills through engaging with others as they explore the San Luis Obispo County.
Pre- vocational task are provided in Hospitality, basic office task, grounds keeping, Center Shoppers and Day Program Deliveries.
Our Community Based Program is our way of providing Community Integration which we offer daily for sixty to ninety minutes. We are committed to supporting individuals enjoy full lives within their community. Community Integration supports the overall health and wellbeing of individuals and entire communities. Community Integration ensures each individual has the opportunity to pursue their interest, desires, goals and choose to receive services in the most integrated setting appropriate to their needs. We assist in providing support in the community so individuals can continue to learn and grow while being safe and happy in their community.
This program is designed to help young adults with developmental disabilities who have recently completed high school. Our APP program assist individuals transition and adjust to life after high school. Most young adults leaving the routines of high school require an adjustment period, support and a routine that incorporates aspects of their previous routine. We do this in an exploratory way that isn't overwhelming within a ninety-day period of them graduating. This exploratory time encourages individuals to experience new interest as we help them incorporate age appropriate life skills through varies task. Once the ninety-day exploratory period is over we can assist them in a Person-Centered Plan that involves their interest and goals.
This program incorporates fresh fruits and vegetables daily in the lives of individuals attending our day program. Fresh produce is delivered to our center weekly/bi weekly from local farms and healthy snacks are made each day. We offer fruit smoothies, sorbets, nice- cream using bananas and their choice of fruit, fruit salads, parfaits and freshly chopped or steamed veggies. We can puree and mechanically chop snacks to adhere to doctors orders. We also incorporate muffins once/twice weekly into our morning snack which are made with seasonal fruits and vegetables like zucchini, sweet potato , peach, blueberries etc. We assist each individual to ensure they follow their specific dietary needs prescribed by a medical professional or have adopted into their lifestyle. Snacks are provided by day program and individuals may also bring thier morning snack if they prefer.
