When Jesus commissioned his disciples to “go forth and make disciples of all nations,” he entrusted each of us with the sacred privilege and responsibility of sharing the Word of God with those we encounter in our daily lives.
Parents, first and foremost, begin this mission when they present their child for Baptism, introducing them to the precious gift of faith. As their child’s first and most important teachers, parents nurture and model a living faith within the home.
Our CCD Program partners with families in this essential mission by providing quality religious education that helps children deepen their understanding of the Catholic faith and grow in their relationship with God. Together, we strive to build a strong foundation of faith that will guide them throughout their lives.
The role of a catechist is a wonderful opportunity to deepen your own faith while serving in one of the Church’s most vital ministries. As a catechist, you will have the privilege of helping our young people grow in their understanding of the Catholic faith and moral teachings. Your guidance may even inspire some to discern a vocation to the priesthood or religious life.
Beyond teaching, you will become part of a catechetical community of faith—a supportive group of fellow catechists who share in prayer, fellowship, and spiritual growth.
Immaculate Conception’s Religious Formation Program is always seeking dedicated and faith-filled adults who are eager to share their love for Christ and the Church with the children and youth of our parish.
We invite you to prayerfully consider volunteering as a catechist—even if you do not currently have children enrolled in our program. We are confident that you will find this ministry deeply rewarding and spiritually enriching.
