Food is our great equalizer. We love the variety of customers that walk up to our counter each week, knowing that in many ways, we all see the world or experience life differently. But everyone needs to eat and as our owner and founder, Alison, always says, eating makes people happy. Our hope is that regardless of who you are, where you come from, what dietary restrictions you have or what you’re allergic to, how you dress, or what you believe, you can feel welcome and know happiness through nourishing, plant-based food in a way that you’ve never enjoyed it before.
Deborah Di Bernardo founded Roast House Coffee in 2010, a specialty coffee roastery committed to only sourcing earth-friendly coffee and supporting a sustainable coffee supply chain. In 2018, she decided to branch out and open First Avenue Coffee.
We feature ten different organic coffees sourced and roasted by Roast House Coffee. All our syrups are house-made, curated by our team with natural ingredients to match every season. Whether you’re looking for a classic coffee beverage or want to spice things up with one of our seasonal concoctions – we got you!
It started as a dream of creating and sharing incredible coffee that we loved with our hometown - of baking delicious treats to eat with this great coffee - of working together - and the Rocket Bakery took off!

What a trip!
Kris and Andy Dinnison opened their cozy and charming cafe and gift shop, Atticus Coffee & Gifts, in Spokane in 2009. Named after the “To Kill a Mockingbird” character, Atticus Coffee & Gifts offers espresso drinks, loose leaf teas, pastries from local bakeries, and house-made, Parisian-style sandwiches and baguettes (including ham and gruyere as well as turkey, red pepper, and goat cheese). The brick-lined shop also proudly features a large selection of locally-made items, like home decor, soaps, shirts, cards, and more.
Located in the heart of downtown, northeast of the Davenport Hotel on Sprague & Post, Brews Brothers Espresso Lounge is dedicated to providing our customers with supreme quality drinks & fine bakery products. We are committed to a quality experience every visit.
