I am a macroeconomist and assistant professor in the school of economics at University College Dublin, Ireland. I am an affiliate member of the CESifo Research Network in Germany and a member of the Center for Economic Research of the George Washington University in Washington, DC, USA.

I am also part of the Education Committee of the European Economic Association (EEA). The main aim of the committee is to improve the quality of economics education at all levels.

My research focuses on applied macroeconomics in the context of expectations, international finance and monetary policy.

Brief Bio:

Constantin Burgi is an assistant professor at University College Dublin. His research focuses on macroeconomic issues, specifically on expectations and international finance. He has published in peer reviewed journals, such as Journal of Money, Credit and Banking, Journal of Regional Science, Economics Letters, Economic Modeling, and presented his work at numerous conferences and economic departments. He is an economist consultant for the International Finance Corporation (IFC) of the World Bank Group. He has taught both graduate and undergraduate modules and has a YouTube Channel, where he teaches basic economics analysis to a wide range of audiences. 

Constantin received his PhD in Economics from the George Washington University in Washington, D.C., U.S.A. Prior to his doctoral work, Constantin worked for the Global Economics and Markets Research team at Goldman Sachs, London. He holds an MSc in Econometrics and Mathematical Economics from the London School of Economics and a B.A. in Economics from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland.
