Ergys Pahija, PhD

Assistant Professor at the University of Sherbrooke, Department of Chemical and Biotechnological Engineering

Dr. Pahija is actively engaged in academic and industrial activities in Canada,  Hong Kong, Denmark, Italy and the UK. He is the recipient of five international awards, including the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and the Seal of Excellence at the Technical University of Denmark.

Research interests

Modelling and optimization of chemical and biochemical processes; carbon capture and utilization strategies; techno-economic analysis;  sustainable productions; cell dynamics; fermentation; data analysis; process intensification  

Current Group Members

Mohammad Bahreini, PhD student (2023 - ). Mohammad develops computational fluid dynamic models to study the electrochemical reduction of CO2 to potassium formate.  

Past Group Members

Gabriel Metay,  Internship (2023). Gabriel is a student at ESEO (France) who worked on the development of Naïve Bayes classification algorithm applied to ecoli.
