Steps for applying to CBI EBS

 Here are the steps for an applicant applying to 

CBI’s TRIO Educational Talent Search Program:


Step 1: Review Program Eligibility

Ensure that the applicant meets the eligibility criteria for your TRIO Educational Talent Search Program. Typical eligibility requirements include being a low-income student, a first-generation college student, or having a potential for success in postsecondary education.


Step 2: Gather Necessary Documents

Ask the applicant to gather the necessary documents required to aid applicant to successfully complete the application process. This may include identification documents (e.g., birth certificate, driver's license), proof of income (e.g., tax returns, pay stubs), academic transcripts, and any other documents specific to your program's requirements.


Step 3: Access Application Forms

Applicant will be provided with the appropriate application forms. First, the applicant will receive a Pre Application, which maybe filled out by student. This can be done either in-person, through your program's website, or via email. The application forms are clear, easy to understand, and include all required fields.


Step 4: Complete Application Forms

The applicant is to fill out the application forms accurately and completely. Remember to double-check for any errors or missing information before submitting the application.


Step 5: Submit the Application

Applicant will be instructed to submit the completed application along with any required documents, personal statement, and recommendation letters (if applicable). Provide clear instructions on how to submit the application, whether it be in person, via mail, email, or an online submission portal.


Step 6: Application Review

Once the application is received, have your program's staff review the applications thoroughly to ensure they meet all the criteria and include all the necessary documents.


Step 7: Notification of Acceptance

Applicants will be notified about their application status. If accepted into the program, applicant will be provided with information about the next steps and any additional requirements.


Step 8: Program Orientation

For accepted applicants, conduct a program orientation where they can learn more about the TRIO Educational Talent Search Program, its benefits, and the services it provides.


Step 9: Program Participation

Once the applicant becomes a participant in the program, they will be engaged in the program's activities, workshops, academic support, and college preparation services.


Step 10: Program Follow-up and Support

Staff will continue to support and monitor the participant's progress throughout their involvement in the TRIO Educational Talent Search Program. Offer guidance and resources to help them achieve their academic and career goals.
