Behavior Expectations

Hi Coaches, Athletes, Parents, and Supporters:

We’re excited to welcome you to our upcoming tournament and look forward to a weekend filled with competitive basketball, great sportsmanship, and positive energy in the gym.

To ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all athletes, coaches, officials, and spectators, we ask that all fans and parents adhere to the following expectations:

Spectator Code of Conduct

    •    Cheer positively and respectfully for all athletes.

    •    Respect referees and their decisions—no verbal abuse or confrontation will be tolerated.

    •    Support all players, not just your own. This is a developmental experience for everyone involved.

    •    Refrain from coaching from the sidelines or behind the bench.

    •    Demonstrate good sportsmanship at all times, including toward opposing teams and their supporters.

Zero-Tolerance Policy

We are committed to maintaining a respectful and safe environment. Any individual who behaves in a disruptive, disrespectful, or inappropriate manner will be asked to leave the gym immediately.

Failure to comply will result in:

    •    Immediate stoppage of gameplay

    •    Possible team disqualification

    •    Removal of the team from the tournament

These measures are in place to protect the integrity of the game and the experience for our athletes.

We appreciate your cooperation in helping us create a positive atmosphere where players can compete, learn, and enjoy the game.

Facility Expectations

We are fortunate enough to use the school facilities, and we need to maintain strong relationships with these partners. 

Please ensure your team/support group:

• Cleans up its bench area after each game.

• Removes water bottles, coffee cups, and garbage.

• Leave the bleachers and seating areas tidy.
