This is possible! Even if you're suffering from depression, you can choose to think positively. That thought could be powerful enough to overcome the depression thought.

Who said that? This assertion is supported by neuroscience. Neuroscience can reveal things that psychiatrists are unable to. If we think a different thought from the one that is depressing and do it repeatedly, our brain will stop following the emotional depressive thought and begin to follow the cognitive thought.

This means that both the brain's emotional and thinking parts will be active. What happens to depression if the brain stops following negative thoughts? It stops.
