Previous ARC Recommendations:
10/17/23: The ARC voted to recommend conceptual approval with the final details to be worked out at the Staff level. The ARC agreed the proposed door to shutter modification is appropriate based on the fact the existing doors are non-historic reproductions of the original millwork, and because the original design intent of these doors was likely to create an open first-floor commercial space, like the current proposal for the left-most opening. The ARC also noted the transom bar of the proposed storefront entry should be increased in thickness to improve its overall proportions.
