WHY ASSOCIATE WITH KDP?
WHY ASSOCIATE WITH KDP?
History: For over a century, KDP has offered educators opportunities to collaborate and excel in the field of education (est. 1909). Human, material, and financial resources are provided for members and chapters around the world. At various points in history, KDP maintained more than 43,000 members in over 500 chapters. Many of these leaders are well known for their ability to lead and advance the field of education.
Examples of Famous Historic KDP Members: George Washington Carver, Anna Eleanor Roosevelt, Albert Einstein, J. William Fulbright, Margaret Mead, Jean Piaget, John Dewey, and more!
What is Special about KDP? Inclusive! Inclusive! Inclusive! Fortunately, KDP has avidly denounced any form of discriminatory practices from the onset (e.g. historically refused to merge with another education honor society due to their 'males only' membership acceptance). Any early career educator which meets the basic expectations is invited to initiation. Then, it is up to that initiate to demonstrate leadership which warrants full recognition in the association (e.g. graduation cords, awards, presentation opportunities, etc.).
