Google Sites

Google sites has now been completely redesigned as of Fall 2016. The new sites is easier to use and more mobile friendly to view. The interface allows for quick drag and drop of page elements for fast redesign. Sites is completely integrated with the other GSuite apps with easy ability to embed files from Drive, folders, YouTube videos, calendars, maps and more. There are some drawbacks though. At this point, it is still limited in outside features and gadgets as we were used to from the old sites. So, you cannot embed a Quizlet stack or embed from third party sites. You also cannot edit the html code at this point. We hope to see changes in the near future as it has just rolled out to the public as of November 2016. Google has announced that there will be a feature to roll over old sites to the new format as of January 2017. Until then, we will have to wait for the release for more information.
