Your privacy is the core of this application. Because we deal with sensitive health data, we have designed this app to ensure that your information stays exactly where it belongs. On your device.
No Data Collection
We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data to external servers.
Apple Health Integration (HealthKit)
Causal Lens uses Apple's HealthKit framework to read your health data (such as heart rate, steps, and activity) to perform statistical analysis.
Reading Data: We only read data types that you explicitly grant permission for.
On-Device Processing: All causal inference calculations and pattern discoveries are performed locally on your iPhone's processor.
Writing Data: While the app may request permission to write data (to ensure full HealthKit integration), we do not currently modify or delete your existing Apple Health records.
Local Storage Only
Any data that the app saves, such as your generated discoveries or cached chart data, is stored in your device's local sandbox using SwiftData and UserDefaults.
Third-Party Sharing
We never sell, rent, or share your data.
Your Control and Data Deletion
You are in complete control of your data at all times.
Revoking Access: You can revoke the app's access to your Health data at any time through the iOS "Health" app settings.
Data Removal: To delete all data associated with this app, simply delete the app from your device. This will wipe the local SwiftData and UserDefaults storage immediately.
Children's Privacy
We do not knowingly collect or maintain information from children under 13.
