If you want a wired, dual-pack solution with a distinct retro aesthetic for casual listening on multiple devices, choose Cauaoa 2; if you need a wireless Bluetooth headset with active noise isolation and long battery life specifically for your MacBook, choose Sorandy Headphones Over Ear.
• Cauaoa 2: Offers a unique vintage look and comes in a convenient two-pack, but requires a physical cable connection and lacks modern wireless convenience.
• Sorandy Headphones Over Ear: Delivers robust Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity and extended battery power, yet it is a single unit that relies on internal charging.
• The Verdict: The Cauaoa 2 is best for users who value style and redundancy, while the Sorandy is the superior choice for anyone seeking a modern, cord-free experience optimized for laptops like the MacBook.
The Cauaoa 2 targets a very specific type of user: someone who appreciates the tactile feel of classic audio gear and wants to avoid the hassle of charging batteries or managing wireless connections. This headphone set is defined by its retro design, featuring a black and orange color scheme that evokes a nostalgic vibe. It is built with a lightweight plastic enclosure and round ear cups that sit over the ear, designed to keep the device comfortable during extended sessions without weighing down your head.
Because these are wired headphones utilizing a standard 3.5 mm jack, they offer zero latency and universal compatibility with almost any mobile phone or audio playback device that has a standard headphone port. You do not need to pair them or wait for a signal to stabilize; you simply plug them in and listen. The audio driver size is 40 millimeters, which pushes a dynamic driver capable of a frequency response from 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz, delivering clear stereo sound. If you are looking for the best sports earbuds for macbook or a similar wireless setup, this isn't it, but if you just want reliable, high-fidelity audio without worrying about battery depletion, this is a solid contender.
However, this product is strictly for those who can work around the wire. The lack of Bluetooth means you cannot walk away from your source device, and the passive noise cancellation is purely physical, relying on the fit of the ear cups rather than electronic interference removal. Furthermore, because the package includes two identical sets, it is an excellent option for sharing with a friend or keeping one as a backup in your bag. But for a primary daily driver connected to a laptop, the tethered nature might feel restrictive compared to modern standards.

The Sorandy Headphones Over Ear is engineered for the modern mobile professional or student who needs freedom of movement and seamless integration with digital devices. Its standout feature is the inclusion of Bluetooth 5.3 technology, which ensures a stable transmission speed and lower latency within a 10-meter wireless range. This makes it an ideal noise canceling wireless headset for macbook, allowing you to move between rooms or sit comfortably without being tethered by a cable. The protocol support includes A2DP, AVRCP, HSP, and others, ensuring smooth music, movie, and gaming experiences across various platforms.
Battery life is another critical advantage here. With a built-in 200 mAh lithium-ion battery, these headphones provide long-lasting playback time, eliminating the need to constantly hunt for a power source or worry about draining your laptop's battery. The device also features a versatile dual-mode capability, offering both wireless Bluetooth playback and a traditional 3.5mm line control interface for situations where you might prefer a wired connection or need to use it with older equipment. The large 40mm speaker delivers rich, deep sound quality extracted from each note, covering a broad frequency range of 20Hz to 20KHz.
While the Sorandy focuses heavily on performance and connectivity, it does come with trade-offs regarding storage and form factor nuances. It supports up to 32GB memory card storage for offline music, though this requires a separate card purchase. The build uses lightweight ABS material, making it comfortable for travel or office work, but the "In Ear" designation in some technical fields suggests a focus on compactness or specific fit mechanics, even though the marketing describes them as over-ear. It is a single-unit purchase, so you do not get a backup pair, but the versatility of the dual-mode and wireless capabilities makes it a more powerful tool for contemporary computing environments.
• Best for Battery Independence → Sorandy Headphones Over Ear: The built-in 200mAh battery allows for hours of wireless play, whereas the Cauaoa 2 draws power directly from your device and offers no battery life of its own.
• Best for Multi-Device Sharing → Cauaoa 2: The dual-pack value means you get two units immediately, perfect for sharing with a partner or keeping a spare, a feature the single Sorandy unit lacks.
• Best for Low Latency Gaming/Video → Sorandy Headphones Over Ear: Bluetooth 5.3 technology provides lower latency and stable transmission, crucial for syncing audio with video on a computer, unlike the wired Cauaoa 2 which has fixed latency but no wireless buffer.
• Best for Nostalgic Aesthetics → Cauaoa 2: The retro black and orange styling and vintage feel are unique selling points that the utilitarian black design of the Sorandy does not attempt to replicate.
• Best for MacBook Connectivity → Sorandy Headphones Over Ear: As a wireless solution, it fits the workflow of a laptop user perfectly, avoiding the clutter of cables and enabling true mobility that the wired Cauaoa 2 cannot match.
• Best for Passive Isolation Simplicity → Cauaoa 2: Without complex electronics, the Cauaoa 2 relies on a simple physical seal for noise reduction, which some users prefer for its reliability and lack of potential electronic failure points.
• Best for Offline Music Storage → Sorandy Headphones Over Ear: The ability to insert a memory card (up to 32GB) allows you to carry your own library without needing a paired phone or computer, a feature completely absent in the Cauaoa 2.
• Best for Universal Compatibility → Cauaoa 2: The 3.5mm jack works with virtually any device with an audio port, including older MP3 players and non-Bluetooth speakers, offering broader legacy support than the Sorandy's Bluetooth-first approach.
After weighing the specifications and real-world application scenarios, I would buy the Sorandy Headphones Over Ear. The primary reason is the necessity of wireless freedom when using a laptop like the MacBook. While the Cauaoa 2 offers a charming retro look and the practicality of a two-pack, the wired limitation significantly hampers usability in a modern workspace. The Sorandy's Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, combined with its dedicated battery life and dual-mode flexibility, creates a much more versatile and efficient experience. For anyone looking for the best noise cancelling headphone for macbook that balances comfort, audio quality, and connectivity, the Sorandy is the logical choice. It transforms the listening experience from a stationary activity into a mobile one, which is exactly what we need today.
Yes, the Sorandy model connects via Bluetooth 5.3 and includes a 3.5mm jack, ensuring full compatibility with MacBooks for both wireless and wired audio streaming. The Cauaoa 2 also works via its 3.5mm jack but requires a physical cable connection to function.
The Sorandy Headphones Over Ear features a 200mAh battery designed for long-lasting playback, making it suitable for travel. The Cauaoa 2 has no internal battery and relies entirely on the power of the connected device, meaning it will not run out of power independently.
To utilize the offline music storage feature, you must purchase a separate microSD card (up to 32GB) as it is not included in the box. The Cauaoa 2 requires no additional purchases to function beyond the standard headphones provided in the two-pack.
Absolutely. Since the Cauaoa 2 package includes two identical headphone sets, it is explicitly designed for sharing or having a backup pair ready, whereas the Sorandy is sold as a single unit.
