Better Together: Regional Visions and Planning for Collaborative and Connected Civic Amenities
Washington, DC offers a compelling case study in civic amenities planning, where a historic grid of grand avenues, monuments, and public spaces must serve millions of tourists, workers, and residents every year. This panel brings together leaders from tourism, urban planning, downtown management, and civic strategy to explore how cities develop shared visions for the parks, cultural institutions, sports and entertainment venues, and public spaces that define a community's quality of life, and how regional planning frameworks can ensure these assets connect and reinforce one another.
