Let it never be known that I leave a reader hanging!

To be honest, I might have been playing it up a little, but the idea of the electro-slime and her being in lingerie for no adequately explored reason other than to give some weird fanservice really miffed me when I first read this chapter.

My goodness, I love that OP...I might be odd but I've always found romantic shows to be a little bittersweet. Don't get me wrong, I love a moving, sweet romance as much as the next... err... man but it's a sad thing for me that the inevitable other love interest(s) often gets left looking on, lovelorn and lost. "Why can't everyone get the romance they deserve?" I declare naively. Am I wrong to want everyone to get there happy ending? Is there a way? Enter Lovelock Holmes, curer of heartache, the solver of the mysteries of the female heart, or as this show calls him: Keima Katsuragi.I say that jokingly but it isn't far off - the basic idea is the same. Eccentric galge genius Keima lives to romance the pants off 2D girls to the point that he does little else with his time. Friends? Pah! Real girls? Not a chance. That is until he unwittingly takes up the challenge to turn his years of carefully honed dating sim knowledge to practical use. Sounds stupid, right, but Keima lives in a world where most girls are perceptive twists on traditional dating sim (and by extension, anime) stereotypes that work perfectly into both his mind and skill set.The funny thing is that this show works. Keima makes a great lead in many ways, his anti-social personality and nonsense opinions make him irritating but he is in no way passive and frequently comes across as driven and sincere, which makes him oddly compelling. Elsie makes a great 'Watson' too: adorably cute and occasionally effective. She provides mostly funny comic relief (fire engines make me smile now) and generally lights up show whenever she is around. The set-up of the show is equally effective. The various girls that he is required to romance (due to the lost souls that possess them) each get an arc of multiple episodes (meaning they don't feel rushed) and the way they play into anime romance cliches is interesting and entertaining. These arcs only get better as the show progresses and the level of complexity rises. That said these arcs only work because in the majority of cases the girls also pull their narrative weight. The show uses its runtime to effectively characterise each girl and give them a semblance of history and depth. Never did I get the sense that Keima was seducing a plank of wood but always actual, proper characters. The show looks and sounds good too. Its art is soft and pleasing to the eye and the character designs are universally pretty, unique and colourful. Its animation seems slightly hamstrung by a less than tremendous budget but it does better than most, especially in the opening sequence. The music too, is top quality. The OPs for both seasons are by ELISA and I think they are two of the best OPs I've ever heard, especially the OP for the first season. The actual score for the series is cute and pleasant too, adding a cute and bubbly atmosphere to the show's sweet content.Despite all that though, my criticisms for The World God Only Knows are harsh ones. First of all, the 'filler' episodes (i.e. the ones not strictly linked to a romance arc) remain best described as hit and miss. Some of them (more particularly in the second season) can be funny and one episode nearly brought me to tears of laughter but mostly I felt myself pining for them to end, get back to the main plot of the show and stop going on about how great the '2D World' is. Even at their best they just, on the whole, do not add anything to the show. The actual romance arcs have some problems too. Firstly, some of the girls are more interesting than others and if you really like a girl then too bad because the next one is going to turn up in a few episodes time and replace your favourite. That's a flaw in the concept, it's not much that the show could do about it, but the second thing is what really holds this show back. The World God Only Knows isn't very romantic. It really is more like watching a detective show than a romance. Sure, it's interesting and quite often funny but it too rarely delivers the emotional hook that would make the show great and it's not funny enough to make up for that. That all said, the show is good and it has only been getting better. The first season had less interesting arcs and some boring filler that seriously held it back but the second season upped its game in both departments - delivering in both inconsequential laughs and much more complex and interesting story arcs. If they make more of this, it may well become great at some point but it's not quite there yet. However, it is heading in the right direction.

All I remember is him being useless and weak (although he isn't but only knows about it later). I think at the start of the manga, they are in a forest on a quest as a party. There is a female, I think the main character's childhood friend, who suppresses him while knowing he can reach higher. She was very fierce, tomboyish and I think she had red hair. Later in the story, she even chases after him and even attacks him. After the forest quest, he quits the party for being treated badly and then meets another person at the guild and travels with her.

When the anime adaptation came out most readers praised its faithfulness to the manga. Nevertheless, there are a few changes and details which are not found in the anime. There are 12 books and even a secret 13th book known as Death Note: How To Read which gives a rare insight into the story, characters and creative process of the series. Fans everywhere would love to learn more about the mysterious detective L, so let's look through these 13 books and find 10 details you would only know about L if you read the manga (spoilers ahead)!

Throughout his prosperous detective career, L solved more than 3,500 cases and arrested over three times that many criminals. But this is the greatest detective in the world. He won't just take any case, so what had to happen for L to accept one? According to Mello, there would have to be at least ten victims or over 1 million dollars involved before the genius detective could be called to the case. The only exception to this was "The Los Angeles BB Murder Cases," but those were a bit more personal to L.

In chapter 40 of the manga, when L is introducing them to the task force, he says "I also know of other criminals who could help us, if needed... This is a tactic I couldn't really use while we were connected to the police, but with the way things are now..." Here L shows that he has more tricks up his sleeve and apparently a decent list of competent underworld contacts ready for use.

During the Yotsuba arc in the series, Wedy is tasked with infiltrating the Yotsuba Corporation building and installing cameras to monitor them. However, in the manga, L gives Wedy another secret order. During chapter 45, L reveals that after the Yotsuba meetings, they have all the documents thrown into a shredder. When Wedy went to uninstall the cameras in the meeting room, L ordered her to "...take all the papers out and recreate the original documents." One can only imagine how long this must have taken but, thanks to L's orders and Wedy's hard work, the team was able to find a document titled "Rules of Killing." This information helps them use Misa to infiltrate the Yotsuba later on.

As discussed above, Aiber and Wedy join L and the task force. But why would two professional criminals be working with the best detective in the world? Wedy is a mystery, but as for Aiber, it is revealed in chapter 43 of the manga that he actually owes L. In this chapter, he calls L to update him on his progress of infiltrating the Yotsuba Corporation. However, L shows concern for him and Aiber responds by commenting "I understand. But you've saved me more than once, L. And anyways, with the evidence you have on me, I'm looking at a life behind bars. This is a lot more fun than that." Apparently even this seasoned criminal couldn't hide from the gaze of the greatest detective, and in return for his freedom, L is able to enlist his help.

Near and Mello were L's successors after he died. Though the two were rivals that grew up in Wammy's House together throughout the majority of the manga, they put their differences aside and were only able to defeat Kira by working together, with Mello sacrificing his life in order to let Near solve the case. However, the two of them were originally going to be L's sons. If this had happened, the story would have been quite different and a lot of interesting things that expanded the world wouldn't have been introduced.

As it turns out, Yor is about as good an assassin as Loid is a spy. Which is to say, she might be the best around. During a bodyguard mission on a cruise ship, she is forced to face a swarm of expert assassins and is able to dispatch all of them, with only minor help from McMahon and Anya, showing that she is truly a world-class assassin.

Not any harem anime (manga) I've ever seen. Mainly because of the hesitant protagonist to real world's girls, which brings quite the uniqueness and curiousness to the progress of the story. Probably, if I might say, TWGOK isalmost the same to School Rumble in terms of character relations and great many other things. Definitely a promisingseries. be457b7860
