Cat-O-Nine is a 44ft by 24ft catamaran. She was formerly a racing boat, built right here in Barbados to win the Around The Island Race. She was fast, she was wet and she was certainly not people friendly. She did go on to accomplish what she was built to do, and she won the race twice.
When Captain Kirk took over the boat back in 2018 he spent many months with the boat on land modifying her to be more people friendly. Sadly, she lost a bit of her racing sting in the process, but she became a much more enjoyable boat to spend an afternoon on. She now has sunbeds at the front for lounging and having a nap while a floor and a large canopy in the back provides all the shade you could want.
While Cat-O-Nine may have lost a bit of her racing sting, she is still a very quick boat who loves getting her sails up and going out for a spin!
Captain Kirk has a long standing history with Cat-O-Nine and the water-sports industry. From a young age his parents couldn't keep him out of the water, and even after moving away from Barbados multiple times, he always found his way back home.
He has spent time up in Liverpool with the Royal Yachting Association completing certifications, he is a PADI Dive Master, and an avid surfer.
Together Kirk and his wife, Caroline operate the boat. While Caroline didn't grow up here, she spent her childhood growing up in and around boats. She was another water baby whose parents couldn't ever get her out of the water.
Kirk and Caroline make the perfect team and can not wait to meet you out there on the water!
