Cat Maida was born in 2002 in Freehold, NJ, and was raised in Staten Island, NY. She received her Bachelor’s in Arts degree in 2024 from Drew University, with double majors in Art and Media and Communications, and a minor in Photography. Maida’s work has been included in group exhibitions at the Korn Gallery and the Dorothy Young Center for the Arts at Drew University, Madison, NJ. She was awarded an Academic award in Art through her University in 2022. Maida’s work was also featured in the 2024 Senior Thesis Exhibition in the Korn Gallery at Drew University.
Working in portraiture, her personal work explores themes of childhood nostalgia. Today, Maida is a freelance photographer who primarily works with families to capture special milestones and memories. In addition, she also takes on oil painting commissions and specializes in portraiture. Maida is currently exploring digital media and utilizing her production skills for freelance work in audio and video production.
