Every Thursday, a group in each class plans group prayer. The topic for this pupil led worship can be about their RE work, a feast day or a recent Mark 10 Mission assembly. Once a year, each class prepares to present to the whole school and parents.
At St Padarn's school, we make an effort to celebrate every feast day and Holyday of Obligation.
Procession to celebrate the nativity of Our Lady
We made birthday cards for Our Lady
Each class chose a way to celebrate St David's day. Some painted daffodils, others made felt leeks, while another class made Welsh cakes.
Making ascension craft.
Plates representing Calvary.
Blessing of the graves with Fr Matt.
Deacon Greg blessing our school and chalking the door.
Candlemas procession.
We had a Mass and special area dedicated to St Peter and St Paul.
Each class in our school has its' own class altar. The pupils look after this special prayer area, changing the cloth to ensure it is the correct liturgical colour and placing on it icons and other things to help them pray.
As part of our whole school prayer and liturgy, we watch The Mark 10 Mission videos, read scripture, learn about saints, pray the rosary and sing hymns.
