Catherine Quirico is a 15-year-old Model, Actress, Singer/Songwriter, and Journalist whose professional career began at the age of 7. Catherine has appeared in various national brand campaigns. Some of her work includes TV commercials and print ads for Toys R Us, Hasbro, American Red Cross, Party City, Bausch & Lomb to name a few. Most recently she walked in NY, Paris, and LA Fashion Week. You can find her bimonthly column "Catherine's Spiral Mind" in Action Magazine where she contributes as a writer and an editor. Catherine's free time is filled with film directing, freelance writing, recording music, dance, and gaming. She enjoys her time on YAP young artists podcast where she co-hosts a podcast and chats with Broadway stars. Her last project "Promwich," a short film where she is both in front of the camera and behind it directing, can be found on her IGTV. As part of her large social media presence, she hosts a live weekly show bringing in lots of talent from Broadway to front line doctors fighting Covid-19. This teen can be heard on Spotify singing her original song "Dear Self" and a few other show tunes. Catherine loves the stage and has performed in off-Broadway productions in NYC.

Catherine, you have had an amazing career as an Actor,model and songwriter. How will you express a typical day as you?

My typical day is jammed up! Waking up for school,homework, practice singing, exercise, video games, talking to my friends, answering DM, working on collaborations,taking pictures and videos and auditioning if a script comes in! Then posting to my social networks.

Some days can be really busy!

Can you give us a little ride on your story, how did it all begin?

When I was younger around seven, I was scouted by a photographer and picked up by a model agency. Then I was moved to nyc and began auditioning for tv/film, broadway, commercials and print work. It all just happened so fast!

You sang an original song, "dear self” which was an hit. what was your inspiration to this?

I went through a really dark time during middle school and I would write in this journal about how I was feeling every night, so i just decided to use my notes to help others know its ok to feel broken.

You have collaborated with tons of brands now. Among all of them do you have any favorites?

I currently don’t have any favorites, i only promote products I really like. I use the website yesstyle the most for clothes and socialite for all my influencer needs.

Did quarantine affect your career in any way?

In person auditions slowed down and bookings did as well for tv/film,commercials and print work. A lot has stopped due to safety requirements with Covid-19.

My influencer work has been steady and is keeping me current in the industry.

You definitely will be planning for the future. Do you mind sharing any with us?

I’m hoping to go west to college in California and continue on my career path as an actress.

Yes! You can find all of them on my Instagram. My most recent project was a host and performer for The BSP virtual Holiday Special to benefit the actors fund. It was filled with tons of Broadway stars!

Some admiring fans of yours all over the world will love to be a talented personnel like you. what are your tips for them?

One word perseverance! Keep practicing your talents, stay focused and to not give up. The industry is hard and competitive not an easy career choice. You have to be able to do it all, and be criticized. Just stay true to who you are and everything else will follow.
