As the school I helped found grew from an Early Years School, into a Primary School as well, so did my role, which depended my understanding of approaches to teaching and learning as well as the various stages of student development.

Initially, we got our certification as a Cambridge School and I became familiar with Cambridge curriculum, methodologies and testing for Gr 1-5

IB World School PYP

It was while I was head teacher that we successfully became a candidate and eventually an IB World School accredited for IB teaching.

Masters of Education

To understand my job better, I decided to take the journey to gain my M.Ed and really take a deep dive into IB education for K-12.

I loved doing big science demonstrations

And encouraging reading and literacy

I was constantly looking for ways we could do things better

And enjoying good relationships with co-workers and parents
