🩷 Here is "the fine print" for placing orders with Cat Hair Included Crochet! These policies help me to create high-quality work for everyone and to keep the business running smoothly! Feel free to contact me with any questions! 🩷
Price Transparency:
You may be thinking “crochet is expensive!” and you would be right! Crochet machines do not exist; it can only be done by hand, and it is often a tedious process.
Side note: If you find crochet products at a large chain store at a cheap price, the artist is being exploited!
I have a price breakdown spreadsheet, including both cost of materials and labor, which I will happily provide to you upon request!
The yarn I use for most projects is priced at $4.23 per skein after taxes. The yarn I use for blankets is $13.77 per skein after taxes. You can absolutely request a specific type of yarn for your project, but it may incur additional costs if it is a more expensive type or brand.
I always want to ensure customer satisfaction with custom-made products. Whether you order through the online form or contact me directly, I will always send you a photo of the order to give you the opportunity to request any changes (excluding color choice). After I ensure you are satisfied with the order, I will ask for a form of payment prior to delivery.
Shipping:
If you are located in West Virginia, specifically the Huntington, Charleston, or Ripley areas, I will typically arrange to meet you in a safe public space to deliver your order.
If you are located in another state or another part of West Virginia, I will ship your order for an additional fee. I will always search for the best shipping price to keep costs to a minimum. Payment for the order and the cost of shipping will be requested prior to shipping the item.
Large Orders and New Item Requests:
For orders $100+, I ask for a 30% down payment to ensure commitment to the purchase and to begin purchasing materials. Blanket yarn is especially expensive, and adult-size hexagon cardigans are very labor intensive.
(Seriously, cardigans take FOREVER to make.)
I also ask customers for their commitment to their color choices. If you would like to make any changes to the requested yarn color, please reach out within 24 hours after placing the order to ensure that I do not begin your project with the wrong yarn color.
I am also open to projects that are not on my order list if I am confident that I can make it correctly. I will not take your money if I am not 100% certain that I can make it.
Cat Allergies:
If you are allergic to cats, please do not hesitate to reach out and let me know! I will make every effort to complete your order in a cat-free environment or thoroughly sanitize the item!
