Business Process Modeling Notation
BPMN:
The Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) is a graphical notation for modelling business processes in a workflow. It is commonly used to visualize and document business processes in a variety of industries, including healthcare, manufacturing, logistics, and banking. The BPMN standard is maintained by the Object Management Group (OMG), and there are several software tools available that support the notation. During the early stages of enterprise maturity, businesses typically use ad-hoc methods to model their business processes. This can lead to inconsistency and errors in process documentation.
The following diagram shows the basic structure of a BPMN diagram in Terraform :
Here in diagram shows that first caterpillar company identifies procurement needs such as equipment, raw materials, services etc from vendor based on quality, price and reliability. If the company is interested with the material then vendor creates contracts and generates purchase orders from caterpillar company. Then company receives goods and services from vendors. Then they verifies invoices against purchase orders and received goods. If company is happy with the materials, then they process payments for verified invoices, if not they go with the another vendors. After getting the materials they design the products and manufacture it. Then they sell to the customers.
