Rehearsal dinners and receptions both fall under wedding catering from this kitchen, and chafing dishes are set up on site at events. For parties the range runs from 10 to 500+ guests, covering holiday catering, custom event catering, party trays, baby-shower events and non-profit events. Dannielle Gray wrote: "Food and service were both fantastic! RX catered my daughters wedding last week, and they were so professional and so helpful!"
Remus Chua wrote: "We used Rx Catering for our wedding reception in Bentonville, and I am still dreaming about the Brisket." The same review says "The guests kept asking who did the catering, especially for that Banana Pudding!"
The day-part menu starts with a Hot Breakfast Special, moves through lunch to hot entrées such as Chicken Parmesan, Pot Roast, BBQ Pork, Spaghetti & Meatballs, Pork Tenderloin with bourbon sauce, and Beef Brisket with party rolls, and ends with dinners. Serving utensils, plates, napkins and cutlery come with every hot entrée.
Chocolate-covered strawberries, Fruit Trays, the Dessert Bar Tray, the Gourmet Cookie Tray and canned sodas round out the order. Tetcha Olaran wrote of a baby shower that "the staff did an excellent job, the food was AMAZING" and that Jay Ramsey "is a pleasure to work with."
Montesa Lorene Anne used Rx Catering for a non-profit event in Fayetteville and "was blown away by the quality." The owner, in her words, "made sure our specific dietary requests were accommodated." She closes with "Reliable, delicious, and truly local." Gluten-free hot entrées carry a "GF" mark on the menu, and vegetarian entrées are offered.
Fort Smith has 90,855 residents (Census Bureau estimate for July 1, 2025). Fort Smith National Historic Site is at 301 Parker Ave, per the National Park Service. A city of that size and that history holds weddings, baby showers, church gatherings and office parties every week, and each one needs a table set.
In 1996 the SBA gave Jay Ramsey its "Young Entrepreneur of the Year" award. AMP Magazine placed him in its 2022 "Fifty Over 50." The team he leads has 60+ years behind it, combined, in catering. Rx Catering has received Arkansas Times "Best Caterer," 2010. It was also an AY Magazine "Best Caterer" finalist, 2024.
Van Buren, Harrison and Fort Smith, along with the communities around them, sit on the delivery list beside Northwest Arkansas. An order generally needs 24 hours' notice, and the full 2026 menu (PDF) and online ordering live on rxcatering.net.
