How to delete your data

CatchyTime stores all your data on your device. There are three ways to delete it:

1. Delete data inside the app

- Open CatchyTime

- Go to Settings

- Tap "Clear All Data"

- Confirm. All places, sessions, and history are permanently removed from your device.

2. Uninstall the app

- Long-press the CatchyTime icon on your phone

- Tap "Uninstall"

- All app data (database, preferences, backups) is removed from your device.

3. Reset your Advertising ID (optional)

- Open phone Settings → Privacy → Ads

- Tap "Reset advertising ID"

What data is deleted

When you clear data inside the app or uninstall it, the following data is permanently deleted from your device:

- All saved places (names, locations, geofence radius)

- All check-in and check-out sessions

- All summary statistics and history

- All app preferences and settings

- Any local backup files

What data is kept

CatchyTime does not store your data on remote servers. We have no servers, no cloud sync, and no user accounts.

CatchyTime uses two Google services that may temporarily process data:

- Google AdMob — for displaying ads. May collect Advertising ID and ad interaction data.

- Firebase Crashlytics — for diagnosing crashes. Collects crash logs when the app crashes.

To delete data these services may have collected:

- Google My Activity: https://myactivity.google.com/

- Reset Advertising ID: phone Settings → Privacy → Ads

Data retention

Because CatchyTime does not store your data on remote servers, there is no data retention on our end. All your data stays on your device until you delete it.

Crash logs collected by Firebase Crashlytics are retained for up to 90 days by Google.
